Placeholder image - remove

The placeholder image - how do I remove it and the white space it occupies.
Why would you ever want this - to tell the outside world that the blogger hasnt put up a cover image is pointless. Can you addd a switch to remove this all together please.

Hi Andrew,

To remove placeholder image you can disable it at settings-> layout-> post options-> show post image placeholder-> select NO

Hi Andrew,

Can you check settings at categories-> choose you categories post-> post option-> show post image placeholder-> select inherit or No
