Hi guys...
When displaying the built-in EB5 social buttons, there seems to be a problem with the way the URL of the page is being passed to Pinterest. For example:

https://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=%2Fhow-to%2Fblogs%2Fit-advice-guru-blogs%2Fwill-windows-10-cause-support-issues&media=%2F%2Fit-advice.guru%2Fimages%2Feasyblog_articles%2F4%2Fb2ap3_thumbnail_W10-large.png&description=Will%20Windows%2010%20Cause%20Support%20Issues

Pinterest says that the URL is invalid because it's not prefixed with http or https, so I guess this needs to be placed in the "?url=" part of the query string.

Dave

Can you download the attached file and upload it into /administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/post/

Uploaded it to the site, and no change to the Pinterest URL...

Hey Dave,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Sure, no problem... It's in my global profile settings on here, but just in case you can't access it I've put it into site details below.

Hi John,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Perhaps you can try download my attachment file and replace in -> JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\includes\socialbuttons\adapters\pinterest.php and see how it goes?

Hey Mark...
Yup, that's fixed it... can now successfully post to Pinterest.
Just a heads up though, and don't know if this can be fixed. I've noticed for both Pinterest and Reddit, when trying to share, it navigates away from the website, unlike with the other buttons which pop-up in a new window. Is it possible to follow the same behaviour for Pinterest and Reddit, that is, they open up in either a pop-up window or a new browser tab?
Cheers
Dave

Hey Dave,

Thanks for writing back to us on this. I don't think there's a work around for this because these "buttons" are actually being generated by Pinterest but I will see if it's possible to alter this behavior

Hey Dave,

Try this, download the attached file and upload it into /components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/socialbuttons/ and see if that helps?
