How do i post a blog post which is pinned to the top of the blog WITHOUT making it a featured post. The reason is that featured posts look different than normal posts (and IMHO uglier too) and its just messing up the style of the blog.

And please don't recommend that I keep changing the date of the blog item so that its always the latest one.

I think a feature option "pin to top" would be most useful. Not sure why it doesn't already exist...
If you using Easyblog 5.2 version on your site, you can edit your "Blog - frontpage" menu from backend then enable this 'Pin featured' option, so it will show feature post at the top.

You can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Hope this will help.

Noted. My point was to be able to pin any post to the top. Not featured. But thanks anyway...

I am sorry that I didn't read properly your initial question in earlier.

I've tested in my locally, it seems like the layout still the same even i pin the blog post as featured, you can check my screenshot here : http://take.ms/w7Qgo

Perhaps you can update your site backend access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site and which post you would like to pin at the top, so we can better have a check why that layout show different than the normal post?

By the way, this is the only way to show the feature post at the top.
