After more thoroughly evaluating the "losses" from ES 1.4 to ES 2.0, I was impressed once again at how well it was handled in terms of removing features, virtually no negative effects. There is however one concern on my end which is about photo quality.

ES 1.4 had a photo quality setting which was located in Settings > Photos > Uploader
ES 2.0 does not appear to have this setting due to the same location not having this setting. I looked around just in case. As a photographer I take photo quality seriously. So in my case I would set it to 100%. However I understand that some may want to save space or reduce bandwidth usage. Is it set to 100% by default? Was removing the setting intentional? A lot of gallery sites and community extensions out there allow control of image quality from administrators.

I understand the intention of reducing clutter, however in the Photo Uploader section there is currently only one setting which is the opposite of being cluttered.
We removed the photo quality settings because we don't want you to worry about all these stuffs. The least you need to worry, the better. In EasySocial 2.0 photo quality is always at 100%.

We do not compromise your photo quality and to be honest, I don't think anyone would want their image quality to be compromised.

That particular setting is like asking you if you want your site to look nice. Disk space has to be compromised but again, we do not want to see an EasySocial site look ugly simply because we gave them the choice to.

Instead, what we should do is enforcing the size of the image for people who are worried about the disk usage.

Thanks for the thoughtful response.

Agreed. This is one aspect of Facebook that I really don't like (they shred photo quality).
