Hello,

I do not want indexed photos to show when searching for users via the search field on the toolbar.

When I disable "smart search-easysocial photos" as a work around, new users profile photos are not indexed and so do not show in the search field on the toolbar.

Is the any way to restrict the toolbar suggestions to only users and not to indexed images associated with that particular user?

See screen shot. When I search my name, all the images I've uploaded also turn up on the search result. I want the results to only display users.

I'm really sorry that misunderstood in earlier, regarding with your requirement, unfortunately that was not possible to make it.

Unless you disable this plugin Smart Search - EasySocial Photos. So that when the user trying to search from the search bar, it will only show the user result.

Hello Michael Ehidiamen.

Once you have disabled Smart Search plugin. You will need to purge any index item that has the type photos. Go to Components > Smart Search , check all data then purge. After that, click the Index button to start re-index : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-13_1129.png

Hello Izzam,

I've been doing this but it means I will always have to repeat the process whenever a new user signs up and that's very repetitive.

Isn't there anyway to restrict the search results to show just users ?

Hello Michael,

You don't need to do this everytime new user register on your site. Once you have turned off the Smart Search plugin, it will not get indexed.

Hello Nick,

You are right but when a new user registers, uploads a profile pix and you search for that user, he will show without a profile pix in the search result because smart search index plugin for es photos is disabled.

Therefore I always have to reindex so new users pictures can be displayed when searched .

Hi Michael,

I've checked in my locally, it seems like work fine if only disable this plugin -> Smart Search - EasySocial Photos.

It will not get indexed about the User profile avatar and cover.

Check my screenshot below.

Is there a way provide us with your Joomla backend and FTp access so we can help you check on this?
