I'm having trouble uploading photos to Easyblog, using the photo gallery block. I select the photos and not all of them upload. I tried deleting and re-doing the blog, logging out and renaming/resizing all the photos. They are small res files so I'm not sure what the problem is. I was able to upload about 10 out of 46 and then when I redid the post, I was only able to upload 4 out of the 46. See attached screen shot to what it looks like in the photo gallery (blank photo instead of intended photo).

Hi I renewed the subscription. Could you help me figure out how I can upload the photos and what my issue is?

Thank you!

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. By the way, i tried to replicate them on your site and it seems that i cant replicate this currently.

I have created a test post on your end and it seems to upload fine as you can see here https://www.robbsphotos.com/index.php/recent-shoots/test-please-ignore

I have uploaded about 40 images, and it is working. There might be you havent fully uploaded them while creating your blog post.

Maybe I have replicated them wrongly, it would be best if you can provide us with more details on how to replicate this issues on your end. Maybe provide us with those images so that we can further check on this issues.

Please advice.

Can you try uploading my photos? See attached ZIP. I deleted the blog post and tried re-doing everything including uploading the photos again and I'm still having trouble. It's actually worse now, I can't upload more then 4 photos. See attached screen-shot. As you can see when I select the photos I want uploaded, only 4 show up in the gallery to the right and most of the photos in the gallery after the 4 are grayed out and blank.

Thanks

Hey Robb,

I have tried testing your site and indeed it seems to stopped on the 4th photo. I believe it is most likely because there are some firewalls or security module installed on your web hosting's end that prevents large chunks of data being sent to the server.

This is very often caused by firewall as it thinks as you are trying to spoof the web server. Could you please check with your web host and see if they could temporarily disable this so that you can run some tests?

Also, it seems like you are using a much outdated version of EasyBlog. Is it possible for you to update to the latest version? The newer version is much faster and more refined in terms of user experience.

I haven't changed any firewalls and have never had this trouble before uploading photos.

I just updateed Easyblog to the newest version and tried uploading the photos again, but I'm still running into the same problem.

Hi there,

It might be you server itself, as stated by my colleague on above reply as they might have enable some restrictions on your site.

Here i listed some of those restrictions that might be configured on your site currently.

https://devcentral.f5.com/articles/4-reasons-not-to-use-mod_security
https://www.modsecurity.org/about.html
https://www.cyberoam.com/webapplicationfirewall.html

Maybe you can check with them(your current web hosting service provider) and see whether they got solution regarding this. Please advice.

We were able to get it working and now are having the same issues again...

This blog post does not have the photos displaying at the end:
https://www.robbsphotos.com/index.php/recent-shoots/2018-national-association-of-broadcasters-nab-show-in-las-vegas-nv-on-april-7-12-2018-photos-from-day-4-tuesday-april-10th

and same with this blog post:
https://www.robbsphotos.com/index.php/recent-shoots/2018-national-association-of-broadcasters-nab-show-in-las-vegas-nv-on-april-7-12-2018-photos-from-day-2-sunday-april-8th

I also tried uploading a new blog and same issue, the first few photos upload and then it stops. What can I do to fix this issue? It seems to be a constant problem with uploading a photo gallery to Easy Blog now.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I tried to download you attached that zip file in earlier which contain a list of image and I did a test upload 1 shot for all the image into the gallery block, then i wait for a while until it upload into the gallery block complete (it totally send 141 request to your server to save the image, but this 141 request included other thing as well.), after that i only save the blog (for this testing i save it as draft), then it seems work fine for me, i can view all the image. you can check my attached screenshot below.

However, i have a few question :

1. Do you also upload once for all image into 1 single gallery block? Or you upload it separately like first i upload 10 image, after that upload another 10 image?

2. Do you have wait for a while after selected all the image to upload into the gallery block?

By the way, I've inspected that gallery element on the article page, it seems like for those last few image still under uploading state, this is why it doesn't populate the image on the site is because you already press the save button. You can refer on my attached last screenshot below.

Perhaps this time you try upload a list of image into gallery block again, but this time you have to make sure it did upload completely, you can click on the last second bullet icon (http://take.ms/tLRG9) to check whether the last image did uploaded completely.

If it did show the image, mean it did uploaded completely, then you only press publish button.

If this time can work correctly, then I will report this to our developer and see whether we can do something about it, so if the image still uploading, do not allow user to press publish button from the composer.

Keep us updated then.
