I would like to disabled photo and video uploads from the Users Stream, I don't see an option in the applications to disabled this, is it possible? We want to keep the Photo and Video filters on the user profile so disabling the apps all together isn't an option. We also want to allow them the ability to only upload (2) photos. 1 Profile Photo and 1 Cover Photo so setting these restrictions in the User ACL doesn't make sense.

Thanks,
James
Hey James,

If you edit the Photos and Videos app, there is an option where you can turn off stream for photo uploads and video uploads. Have you tried turning them off yet?

Thanks Mark but I had tried this already.

In both the Photo and Video apps there is no option to disable the Story Button or Add From Stream, see here:

This is what I would expect as an option (this is the USER videos application):

Currently that was not possible to achieve this from the application setting, you have to turn off it from backend > Easysocial > profile type > select your profile type > ACL (you can refer on my attached screenshot below).

Thanks Arlex.

To be clear, if I disable photos and video upload from the User Profile ACL it does NOT affect the upload of a users Avatar or Profile Cover? Sorry for the possible stupid questions the ACL functionality is not that clear in terms of what it does or does not restrict and I want to be certain the above is the case.

Thanks,
James

I've tested in locally, if you disable the create `photo` to NO from the ACL, it will not affect upload users Avatar and Profile Cover.

But the `video` will get affected.

We will see what we can do in the future version regarding this case.

Thanks again Arlex.

With the photos being disabled and not affecting the Profile Photo and Cover Photo that is perfect.
With regards to videos I was able to disable the app all together for users since I don't want user to upload videos and this fixed it but I would think in a future release it would be the same workflow across the board as you mentioned.

Thank you again for yours and everyones help.
