Hi,

Is it possible to show the photo albums from within groups like it's possible to show albums from users? Users are having a hard time finding the photo's.

kind regards

Kjell
Users can see a widget on the lower left side of the group. The bad news is that if there is no photos uploaded to the group at all (even a group avatar or cover should make this easier) it's pretty much impossible. This is because the "view all photos" page does not exist before any photos are uploaded. This is one of those strange scenarios where I wouldn't want an album with nothing automatically created per group either (for space reasons). So I've come up with a great compromise that would make creating albums on a group page with no photos really easy (without the need for generating blank albums). My proposal is to add a "New Album" link so that it's always possible to add a new album:

This is the same method recently applied to the profile.

Hi Kjell,

For the time being that feature is not possible.

Best regards

Actually it is, you can see it live here (see album app on the page): http://www.test.alpineascent.com/group/item/2-awesome

But keep in mind that it's pretty much not possible without an avatar or cover photo uploaded to the group as mentioned above.

Christopher,

So, if i understand, every group should have a cover and a avatar... Then the "view all photo's" will become available?
This feature is really lacking in easysocial.

I just tested again when logged out, from my view it does. It's in the lower left area as seen here:

Group — Photos (choose the Application one instead of the "Fields" app). In the app you should open the widget tab and set it to yes.

It does, but it needs easier access, hence why I proposed a easy add link.

A group only needs one of them to make the app accessible for managing the albums of that group. So if you upload a avatar with no cover, you can access the album manager. Same goes for if you upload a group cover without an avatar. Sharing a photo on the timeline should also do the trick.

Hello Josh,

Thanks for the clarification on this issue.

Hello Kjell,

I am sorry for the confusion here. If you mean by a single page where user can view all of their albums across the site including the albums inside the group, unfortunately we do not have that kind of features yet. The only way to view the albums inside the group is by going into the group and click on the view all albums just like what Josh explaining above.

We will see if we can improve the albums feature and make it easier for the user to access in the future release of easysocial.
