If I'm not wrong, you can install this plugin -> plg_easydiscuss_profile.zip in your site, this plugin is added more details including the nickname.
When you download the plugin from http://stackideas.com/downloads/plugins (All EasyDiscuss Plugins)
Then after you installed, you have to replace this file
JoomlaFolder\plugins\user\easydiscussprofile\easydiscussprofile.php
Because this fixes haven't release yet.

Can you give it a try and see is it fix your requirement when the new user doing the registration also can fill in the nickname?

Dear Arlex, thanks for getting back to me. the problem is that i use a 3rd party register-modul "Ajax-Register". this generate a own register form. the easydiscuss profil plugin settings havent no effect to this form. i need a plugin that set the field nickname and alias automaticly on first login.

do you know what i mean?

my problem is that all over the world can see the real username in the url of the permalink and see the realname. i have a security page to save important documents. easydiscuss make it easy to hack an account to find the real username. to hack a passwort is for a profi hacker not a problem.

i must have a website with a maximum of security. and to find fast real names und usernames arent a maximum.. do you know what i mean?

Yes, you're right, that plugin i suggested is not meet your requirement here, as Mark said that we actually doesn't have this such of plugin to integrate with your "3rd party register-modul "Ajax-Register"" , hope you understand.

Yes, I understand your situation in your security site, or do you consider to use our plugin and using the Joomla default registration form for new user register in your site? Unless the new user can fill in the nickname field, so the username will be display the user nickname.

no i cant use the standard register form. Ajax-Register has extra fields to define extra informations for the registration that i need.

i wrote a routine to set the permalink and the alias after register of a new member. i use a open_ssl encrypt to generate the permalink. that is the safest way. no one can see the real user-id oder the real username.
