Hello,

Using ES 1.2.18 I am getting occasional white screens on registration. These seem to be related to this PHP error:

[02-Jul-2014 13:05:20 America/New_York] PHP Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to plgFinderEasySocialUsers::index() must be an instance of FinderIndexerResult, instance of stdClass given, called in /home/domain/public_html/administrator/components/com_finder/helpers/indexer/adapter.php on line 333 and defined in /home/ukidney/public_html/plugins/finder/easysocialusers/easysocialusers.php on line 149

The difficulty in debugging this is that it does not happen all the time on registration. Only occasionally. After the white screen appears, I can reload the page and the site loads fine, but interestingly, it triggers a blank welcome email to the administrator.

A user posted a similar error here:

http://stackideas.com/forums/registration-not-possible-after-update-to-1-2-18

Clicking on the registration link without first accessing a restricted URL does not produce the error. Site details enclosed below.

I solved this.

I switched to full profile mode in Settings > registration and disabled mini registration in Themes > Wireframe > Dashboard

I can now reproduce this error.

If one tries to access a restricted URL/Itemid on my site (included in the first post) then they are prompted to login on the EasySocial page. If one then clicks the registration button, then that fatal error above occurs.

The URL for the restricted item is included below.

I have done some additional testing.

Based on the fatal error above, I disabled the finder plugin easysocialusers.php. This stopped the fatal error. However, now when users try to click the register button the get this system error (see screen capture):

You must provide at least one recipient email address.

Empty password not allowed

So the workflow is:

Select restricted URL/ItemID > EasySocial dashboard loads > Click Register > Error (sample URL in Site details, tested with all restricted URLs)

It would be good to solve this with the finder plugin enabled obviously.
