I tested your file, menu entry has disappeared indeed, but when I set Post Moderation to Yes on my group, "Pending Posts" menu entry does not display

What did you selected for the "Post moderation"? I have tested this internally and it seems to be working correctly for me.

I switched "Post Moderation" between Yes and No, hoping that the "Pending Posts" menu would show and hide. But it never shows!

You can check this on my dev site if you like, on the group Altitudes Paris for example...

I checked item.php, and in the code added you check the group parameter stream_permissions instead of stream_moderation, maybe this is why...

This is working fine except when the "Post Moderation" field is not used in the Custo Fields of the group Category. This is possible as "Post Moderation" is not a mandatory field.

In that particular case, the group behaves as if "Post Moderation" was set to No, but the "Pending Posts" menu is appearing, which is inconsistent.

I don't know whether you should fix that or make the "Post Moderation" field mandatory in group categories...

I tested again in your dev site, even I set "Post Moderation" to NO, it will not show that "Pending Posts" menu in the group page, you can check my video here : http://screencast.com/t/BcSaKiiaiec

Beware with videos... My community is private, and there is a high risk that you show information that should not be visible!

The scenario with some issue is the following:
1- In backend, remove the "Post Moderation" field from the group category "Antennes Altitudes" (I have done it).
2- Create a new group in backend in this category.
3- In frontend, log in with an admin account. In the group you can see the "Pending Posts" link (as if group was moderated).
4- In frontend, connect with another user account, join the group and post in it. Message is posted straightly (as if group was NOT moderated).

As you can see between 3- and 4-, this is inconsistent... Maybe the solution is to make the field "Post Moderation" mandatory in categories Custo Fields (i.e. this field must be present in custo fields). Fields such as "Allow Videos" or "Enable Announcement" are mandatory...

I am sorry for the delay of this reply and thanks for the clear instruction on how to replicate this issue. I've applied a fix on your dev site and now the 'pending post' filter link should work correctly now. Can you please try again?
