is it normal not to display the pdf viewer in mobiles? I just realized that. Or does it depend on the browser? (I tried it on Google Chrome).
Hello Gustavo,

There are currently no PDF viewer for mobile web browsers and this is why you can't render it on your mobile device

If my memory serves me correctly, it is very much related to the licensing of PDF viewer.

:O That is not true, my friend. I tried it and it is not true: enter this link through a mobile: http://www.nietzschestudio.com/manuscritos-autorizados/ditirambos-dionisiacos

That is a plugin that allows that. It is from Mozilla Firefox. Is it possible that the stackideas developers can improve the "pdf block" by using that Mozilla plugin?

Hm, this is very interesting as I have never seen this before. Thank you for sharing this and we'll see if we can add this library into the core

:O Oh yes! Thank you for saying that. Please, Stackideas developers, do it as soon as possible, because I share my Nietzsche Blog posts (made by different authors) in my proyect's Facebook page, and you know that more and more people use their mobile devices to access a webpage. :c

Look at what a user of my webpage said.

If this pdf problem is resolved it will be a great goal.

I let you anothe example of use: https://docplayer.es/25213553-Monica-gonzalez-saez-voluntad-de-poder-y-arte-una-aproximacion-a-la-metafisica-de-nietzsche-a-traves-de-heidegger.html#show_full_text

Look at the beginning of the post. They have edited the "colors" of the PDF viewer. You can also do that. And if you can disable the "download option" (although I know that "advanced" users can download it anyways), it would be more than perfect (at least you can add the option for us to choose whether to disable it or not).

P.D.: Note even that they have added "ads" between the pages!

Thanks for the input on this Gustavo. I did try to play around with the pdf viewer.js but it's really tricky because it requires the entire package to be included in EasyBlog and the entire package is really really huge.

:O oh, no! And is there some way to at least copy the "feature" that enable us to view the PDF document in Mobile browsers? Well, you are the developers hehehe, it was only a suggestion, you now know that it is possible. Perhaps in the future you can achieve this gol (rendering PDFs documents in mobile browsers).

I believe if web browsers start implementing this new PDF viewer, it'll work automagically. Right now, what I would suggest is that:

1. You download the PDF Viewer package to your site.

2. Use the HTML embed block to embed an iframe that points to your PDF viewer.

The total size for the entire PDF Viewer package is close to about 6MB and if we add it into EasyBlog, it'll be well over 20mb for the entire package

1) can you help me doing that? I don't how to install it, but I would like that the "download option" is not there :c can you do that? or will it have a price?

2) I have another suggestion for Stack ideas: you already know what my website is about, is it possible that you can create a repository, a space where the essays can be saved and exhibited in a professional way like this (https://brill.com/view/title/56330?fbclid=IwAR2nmnGO-CqyF3bDNctJZW3RDgwu_hP5ouY33UAiRwkZZ3drzkRJeWPoIJ0)? Something like a library.

3) And I have another question: with payplans extension is possible to restrict any joomla content (articles not belonging to any Stackideas component) and make the users pay for the content?

4) Can I restrict also Easyblog articles and make users pay for them?

Hey Gustavo,

I am really sorry but our hands are pretty tied down now on our own internal development works and we would not be able to accept customization requests currently.

It would be best if you can start a new thread for each of your different question as what you asked in previous reply, so it will help other moderator easier to follow up your issue and you will receive faster response.

Hello again, Mark. I have new information about the PDF Viewer Package we talked about. You said it would turn out in 6MB more, but I have the "plugin" the allows me to use PDF files in my "Joomla" articles, and it only is 1.5 MB!!!!

Do you think now that Stackideas can use this PDF viewer in Easyblog? (remember that all of you can change the bar color to white, or to any color you wish).

Would Stackideas be interested in it? Can I give you the plugin (1.5 MB)?

Thanks for sharing this Gustavo, I cannot guarantee that we'll add it because there are many factors which we need to consider but my biggest concern is the increase of the installer size

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! We'll look into this for sure but for an additional 1.5mb for a pdf viewer is probably not ideal. Considering that the entire package of EasyBlog is only 10MB, the PDF viewer package itself is going to cause the installer to be 15% larger in size

Thanks for understanding Gustavo.

Ok, I understand. Please try to delete superfluous codes in order to reach that.

Thank you!
