Any idea of when we are going to see an update to PayPlans to allow for Facebook and Twitter signups?
Its a bit frustrating that we have to remove a core EasySocial feature simply because its not supported by the payment system.

We can use the plugin from Sourcecoast (JFBConnect) but thats another $60 just to enable a feature we already have in ES but can't use because its not supported yet by PayPlans.

I would be useful if we could get an update on the status of this issue.
Facebook and twitter signups are really important for most of us.
If its not going to be resolved soon then we need to start looking at alternatives.

Hey Marc,

Hm, I find it strange that your post was posted since 20th November and nobody has replied. Did you originally posted this ticket in one of the non supported categories?

Anyhow, I am not sure what sort of integrations are you looking at. Do you mean when a user subscribes a plan, they get to login using Facebook / Twitter?

Yes...it was originally posted in the feature request group, but after 3 weeks I didn't get any reply.

For us, it very important to get clarity on the status of this issue.
Its more than a feature request, it forms the basis of whether we will continue to use PayPlans (or possibly even EasySocial) in future.

We are not expecting a resolution now (although that would be awesome ) but need to understand if its on the radar or not and when its likely to be available

The issue is not being able to do EasySocial registrations from Facebook and Twitter accounts, where PayPlans is being used

Signups using your Facebook and/or Twitter profiles are an integral part of any social website.
EasySocial already includes this basic capability.

However, when using PayPlans as the payment system, we cannot use the built-in EasySocial Facebook or Twitter registration options as they by-pass the PayPlans subscription creation process. So we have to switch that feature off in EasySocial (I did confirm this was a problem with ReadyBytes before StackIdeas purchased PayPlans)

If we want to use the 2 Stackideas products together (EasySocial and PayPlans) we have to compromise and accept that we cannot have FaceBook or Twitter registrations anymore. We are now limited to having only the built-in Joomla/EasySocial registration option. For us, that seems like a big step backwards for EasySocial and eliminates about 40% of our new customer signups

Sourcecoast build a PayPlans app that allows their Social logins/registration system to be used, but you must then install their JFBConnect product as well. So we end up paying $60 every year for support on yet another system whose only function (for us) is to enable EasySocial Facebook/Twitter registrations. This adds cost and more complexity for something we would have had if we didn't use PayPlans.

Don't get me wrong, SourceCoast JFBConnect adds a LOT of extra value for other social media aspects, but its overkill for simply making the built-in EasySocial Social registrations work.

Hey Marc,

Let me check with Manisha about this. If it is indeed a problem reported before we acquired PayPlans, we will definitely try to resolve this

We have already logged this issue into our internal issue tracker We will try to get this fixed in 3.7 but we also need to tweak this in EasySocial too to allow PayPlans to hook into these events.
