Hello,
I wanted to send you some questions about setting up PAYPLANS in EASYSOCIAL.

I would like to know if it would be possible to put some part of EASYSOCIAL paying and leave others free access?

Best regards.

Eric

Hi Eric and Joy.

I'm not sure what part you are referring to Eric. Currently the only restriction based integration with EasySocial currently is through the ES profile type app.

Hi Raymond,

My idea, for example, was to allow members only to update their subscription, to be able to reply to messages received or send messages to other members.

Best regards.

Hey Eric,

By members, do you mean only registered users can subscribe? This is actually the current behavior where only logged in users may subscribe in PayPlans.
to be able to reply to messages received or send messages to other members.
If you link PayPlans subscriptions to EasySocial profile type, you can use the ACl available there to control the permissions.

I believe there are ACLs in EasySocial available for new conversations and message sending limit.

Hi Raymond,

What I would like is for example:
That members can only reply to the messages they receive if their dues are up to date.
They can only send messages to other members if their dues are up-to-date.

To summarize, I would like to limit certain functions when members have not paid their dues.

I believe there are ACLs in EasySocial available for new conversations and message sending limit.

I will examine this

Best regards.

Eric

Hey Eric,

You should be able to determine which members paid their dues by having separate memberships and associating them with different profile types. This can be done by using the EasySocial Profile Type app in PayPlans.

Example:

Free membership plan(PayPlans) <> Profile type A(EasySocial) : restrict the ACL in this profile type

Paid membership plan(PayPlans) <> Profile type B(EasySocial) : allow the ACL in this profile type

When the user first registers, they will be under free membership, and when they have paid/upgrade to the paid membership, their profile type automatically switches from A to B as well.

Thank you very much.

I'm using Cometchat, now I'm looking at how to pair it with Cometchat to restrict some functions as well.

Hey Eric,

Unfortunately PayPlans does not have any direct integration currently with Cometchat. I'm not sure what kind of restrictions you are using from Cometchat's component.

PayPlans does have a Joomla user group app as well which you can also use to switch user's usergroup based on the plan they are currently on.

Hi Raymond,
Thank you for your reply.

I'm getting closer to Cometchat

Are you planning on developing an instant chat with video?

Best regards.
