Hello,

Can individual users accept payment via Payplans?

For example, can a user who register's on our site accept payment using PayPlans for an item he/she sells on Easysocial Marketplaces?

If no, can you recommend any solution for this that integrates with Easysocial.

Thank you
Hey M E,

Sorry for the delayed response.

Currently, this is not possible with the PayPlans at the moment.

I am sorry to say but in Easysocial also there is no such feature available.

Let me know if you will have any queries.

Regarding the above, if I understand correctly, do you mean you want to customise PayPlans so it allow user to sell products
in EasySocial's marketplace? Please correct me if I've mis-understand your request.

Please advise.

Hi Sam,

That is correct.

A Payment system like Ebay, where users can request payment via the platform and we will receive and hold the funds.

We will only send the funds to the seller's bank account details once a customer receives the goods and is happy with it.

I think this Stripe offers a solution like this where payments can be received for connected accounts, and payouts delayed. .... https://stripe.com/docs/connect/bank-debit-card-payouts#support-for-escrow

If this can be configured with marketplaces and Easysocial, that will work I think. Please share your thoughts

Thank you

Regarding the above, I am sorry but currently this is not possible even with customisation as PayPlans is a membership subscription. What you require is a 'standalone' payment system / component that allow buyer to pay to purchase and release the payment to seller once the purchase transaction is done.

Maybe you can look into a way where, your users sell product in another e-commerce platform / component and, your users add the product link into ES marketplace so that if buyer can click on the product link and the actual purchase will be done on the e-commerce platform / component.

Hope this help and have a nice day

Thank you Sam. How do we achieve that? It seems the URL custom field that provides a hyperlink to a website is not available in the Marketplace workflow. I am assuming this is a bug right?

I will appreciate it if you kindly attach the URL custom field for Marketplaces so we can install it and see the feedback we get...

Many thanks

Regarding the above, currently Marketplace do not have this URL custom field support at the moment. However, we've already logged this into our feature request tracker.

As for now, you can try to use textbox custom field to allow your user to enter the website url.

Hope this help and have a nice day

Hello !

The ideal solution would be for the user to be able to choose between a Message Seller button and an External Link button
Like on Facebook.

Feature Request : https://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial/item/579-replace-messager-seller-button-with-an-e
