Hello !

Not sure if it is intended or if it is a bug, since the composer wasn't existing before EB5. But if you add a text block, and paste a texte that have a html formatting (Like, some underlined/bold words, carriage return, etc...), this formatting doesn't apply on the text block, and you have to do it again.

It's possible to use the html block to avoid this problem, but it means I must paste my text on another editor, and then convert it to html code, which is really not cool to do, considering it's also less easy to edit :/

It mays be not really easy to understand, so, I added a screenshot of it.
Hey there,

This is actually done on purpose as we do not want to have "dirty" html tags within the block. The reason is because when you use the text formatter in the composer, it is on a different format (redactorjs) and to cleanup tags that are posted from other sites is pretty insane

Oh... So I imagine it won't be possible, even in the future, to keep those html tags?

If so, do you plan to keep some of the functionnality EB3.9 had with 3rd party editor, like, video integration, article link, or media gallery?

Hi Philidia,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply

Currently we do not have any plan to do so yet. However we will consider your concern regarding on the html block and hopefully we can do something about it in the future.

What a pity :/

I understand your reasoning though, but it's going to be a pain in the ass for me and my team =P . We often use a 3rd party editor when we can't access to the website (No connection, firewall issue, etc...), and also have some kind of formatting that we can't reproduce on the composer. And if we have to do a new formatting each time, I'm not sure we'll use the composer. It's sad, I really love the possibilities it offers

But anyway, I don't think you're taking the wrong path. I just hope you won't forget people that use another editor
