Hi
If you have an online community that includes persons under 18yrs old, is there an ACL function that requires another person to approve you eg if the community was a village with a school, and the children were able to use the resource to chat with each other etc, you would want to provide protection for them such as online grooming issues.

At same time you want them to have fully absorbed social network experience, else they go elsewhere. So as a parent or school I would want to enable this, that gives them their group privacy, but also have them included within the wider community network, and chosen resources they can access.

If as a parent I approved them, and so see who their friends are, I could ensure some safeguards, without needing to spy on their 'diary' of conversations. Likewise if the Report function was able to notify the referrer, then as parent I could act on this warning. The ACL functions as to only let others in the group view activities is easy enough to implement.

This function would mean the site moderator has less issues to deal with, and prevent potential legal repercussions.
Thanks for the heads up on this Darren Appreciate your insights on this.
