I have tried to configure the theme settings for groups to only display 5 groups per page and it's actually showing 4 pages instead of 7. May I know how were you able to reproduce this issue on your site? That is really strange. Are You sure You did not photoshop that screenshot?

ok, seriously now. I have no idea how it is possible that You see it the way it is supposed to be and I see 7 pages. Just logged again and went to the groups pages and again, I see 7 pages....(where there should be 4).....

I refreshed the cache too. did not matter. Still 7 pages. The only place I changed the value of 5 groups a page is in de wireframe template.
And next to this, when I change it to 10, I still see too many pages in the pagination.....

There are some more testers on the site. I will ask them what they see there.....

asked it to another tester who is testing my site and she also sees the wrong pagination. 7 pages while it should be 4.

So I am not the only user of the site with this problem. Question is, why can't You reproduce it....

I am sorry for the late reply.
I cannot replicate this issue on your site. It seems like the pagination is displaying correctly. Here is my screenshot; http://screencast.com/t/0kRa2f9Ejo . Perhaps there are cache on your site or browser. Can you please clear the cache and test it again.
