1) can the page owner disable reviews on his page?

Currently it is not possible for the page owner to turn off reviews.

2) is there a top reviews by category module or option?

We do not have such a module currently.

Point number one is okay, but point number 2 is a deal breaker as just showing stars on the page would not entice users to promote their page elsewhere (e.g their facebook or twitter page), unless we are showing top rated pages on other parts of the website.

Plus my unsolicited feedback: The plugin should have an option to just use rating stars or rating stars + text review

any plans for top rated by category module to go along with the plugin?
