Hi,

I have question if is possible to set default Avatar picture when page is created?
I dont think when you choose category of page (attachment "1"), but default Avatar for Page - if user dont select some picture that there is default picture for Avatar (attachment "2").
There in custom field is one option for add button Select avatar from gallery - but I dont know where I can set this pictures for choosing when you click on this button Select from gallery.

The same function is under Profile types of Users - Default avatar where I can set some pictures or set also default avatar. (attachment "3")
Is it possible something like that also for Pages, Groups?

Best regards
Hi Uros,
There is no setting to set default avatar. If you want to change it, you would have to template override the default avatar image. You can refer to our documentation on how to do so:
https://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/templating/overriding-default-avatar
The path mentioned in the documentation is for user avatar. The path for group avatar for instance is as follow: .../avatars/group

As for the gallery selection, actually cluster avatar do not have gallery selection. Those settings are not supposed to be present in the cluster avatar custom field. We will fix this bug by removing those in the next release.

Hi,

For user default avatar you are wrong... For users you can set default avatar (without override template).
Look my previous above attachment "3" - you have tab default avatar and on the right you can upload one or more pictures for later "available" avatars which you can choose from avatar gallery.
And one of this uploaded avatars you can set as default. I try and works. Try and you will see..

So... in custom fields Avatar where is button "Select from gallery".. you say that currently this button dont work? Or we can not set here some pictures? ...and your devs will fix it?

Best regards

Hey Uros,
My apologies. Yes you are right. Once you make an avatar in the user profile type default avatar gallery as favourite, it will use that avatar as the default avatar. The difference between this method and the template override method is that the template override works for all profile types.

I have confirmed with the devs for the cluster(groups, pages, events) avatar custom fields, there is no avatar gallery selection feature. So those gallery buttons will be removed in the next update.
Regards.

Hi,

No problem for mistake... yes, for Profile type we can set default avatar.

I have confirmed with the devs for the cluster(groups, pages, events) avatar custom fields, there is no avatar gallery selection feature. So those gallery buttons will be removed in the next update.
Regards.

You say that button for gallery will be removed.
Can your devs (instead remove this) add option in Custom field Avatar that we can set avatar picture? (for groups, pages, events)
For example that in custom field Avatar is:
Set default Avatar: ON/OFF
..if click ON - than there is button "Choose file"

I think this is not very difficult for your devs ..much better than you remove this option

What do you think?

Best regards

Hey Uros,
Since this is a feature request, perhaps you can start a feature request for this in EasySocial's feature request category. We will consider adding this in the future when this is widely requested.
