Hello

I have searched through the forums but all the search I made turned up empty.
I could not also find in the documentation any information on how to override and customize the EasyDiscuss and EasySocial templates in such a way as to avoid losing any edits made if upgrade or update is performed.
Please send me the links to any information on this or if there is none available, please give me some guidance on how to go about doing this.
In addition, I will like to know if you are using EasyDiscuss for your forum and the theme you are using. I like the simple design and prefer it to the ones on the component which looks more like a help desk system.

Niyi
Thank you very much for the information. I get it now.

Hey Adeniyi,

Overriding EasyDiscuss / EasySocial theme files is just the same as overriding other extensions template file. For instance, if you want to override theme files for EasySocial, just copy the files / folders that you want from /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/ in to the folder /templates/[TEMPLATE_THAT_YOU_USE]/html/com_easysocial/

This is the same for EasyDiscuss. If you want to override theme files in EasyDiscuss, copy the necessary files from /components/com_easydiscuss/themes/simplistic/ in to the folder /templates/[TEMPLATE_THAT_YOU_USE]/html/com_easydiscuss/

Hope this helps.

P/S: The documentation for template overrides in EasySocial is available at http://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/templating
