Hi, the GDPR law comes into play on 25 May in Europe. Will there be a feature in Komento to shorten / hide / delete / anonymize the IP Adresses of the users which have left a comment?
Unfortunately currently that was not possible at this point of time, but we already plan to do this.

Would support that as well as this would be very important for us. I additional would prefer an option where we can choose not log any IP during creation from the comments. If there is nothing which is logged this would be even better.

@Chris
As I have as well the issue with the GDPR law, did you took any special actions regarding that? I thought something like editing the "terms and condition" so it might be compliant with the GDPR law.

@Bastian: No, not explicitly. I would say it is ok to save the IP in the first place for cases in which commentators try to abuse the comment section for any bad ... But I guess you have to delete them in the aftermath when everything is ok. I will place something like that in my “terms“ when Komento offers that option.

Thanks for sharing Chris, we will probably plan to allow registered user can able to download what comment they added on the site, then they also able to delete all his comment as what his comment on the site before, mean the database no longer store all his data on the site after that user decide to delete his information.
