Apparently there is something called the OpenBadge API. https://openbadges.org

I'm wondering if Stackideas is thinking about adding this connectivity/feature so that we could IMPORT badges earned elswhere and use within our blog/easysocial sites.
Am also curious about this!?!

Very cool Paul. I'd be happy to talk to you about it too ! Maybe we can generate some momentum around this!

Even if there was a way to create my own badges in EasySocial - that weren't necessarily tied to any triggered system events, but that could be reviewed by me and approved as needed, that would be a great feature add.

But if we could somehow recognize the badges people have earned outside of my easysocial instance, say for example, through badgelist.com, and somehow be able to import them into my system, or visa-a-versa, to be able to send badges folks have earned through my portal to linked-in as recognition of their completion, that would be the ultimate.

I want this too - did you ever get any further with it?

Hi Mel. No response yet from StackIdeas. This could be an entirely new extension for them too! (See badgelist.com)

I think they have 70-80% of the functionality already. Just add the openBadge API component and the ability for us to create and manage our own badges WITHIN easysocial, and this would be extremely helpful.

Is there a way to add this as a formal feature request and begin voting it up?
