you guys gave me a fix to remove the online status and it has appeared on my site again..any way to permanently remove this?

Are you referring to the online status on the profile page? If that is the case, edit the file /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/profile/avatar.php , locate the codes below and remove it.
