Hello! I'd like to thank the team for developing this software. It's my first use, and I'm truly impressed. Best community out there!

My question may seem a little silly, but I am curious on HOW and IF it's possible to have one community registration for multiple sites? Let's say 5 bands each want their own domain, but want to share a community full of their fans.

Thanks for any advice!
I'll be a little more specific:

I'd like to have an EasySocial community on the main domain, and registered users will only have to register once on the main domain in order to have access to multiple subdomains and subdirectories. I'm curious about what advice the community has in this regards for setup. The goal is to "register once, have access to all sites"

Jason, I do not think that it is possible to have EasySocial to act as a central hub to sub-domains. It is more of a limitation of Joomla than EasySocial. What is possible is that you can have one domain and one installation of EasySocial, and then allow the 5 Bands to each have their own unique Member Profile, and then set up Groups for each band. This would allow registrants to pick their favorite band to follow.

You could also have a unique domain for each band that simply redirects/forwards to their EasySocial group page. I believe Pages for EasySocial is coming in 1.4 or 1.5 as well.

Ah, I see. I didn't think it was possible, but was certainly hopeful there was a work-around. Thanks so much for your response! I appreciate it.

Now, I don't see any problem with simply using sub directories.

@Jason, depending on your skill level you may find success with an extension. Check out JMS Multisites for an example and/or search there for other alternatives. Be sure to read reviews on Joomla and at other sites, check out the developer's community/support page, etc.
