Hello, I'm enjoying the Office Template - and wonder if it's an acceptable Helix3 template.. that is, can I use the Helix3 system to modify it? Or, what would I have to do to include it in a site that uses the Full Helix3 system?
Hey Edward,

Yep, that is correct because in the Office template, it has specifically been tweaked in a way to help us achieve such layouts without allowing users to accidentally mess up with the arrangements.

Hi there,

Im not sure what do you mean here. Do you mean that installing this Office template on a site that already uses helix3 and does it conflict with the full/original Helix3?

The answer is it will not conflict with the existing/original Helix3. When you're installing Office template, it will also install its own Helix3 called OfficeHelix3 customized for Office template. We have renamed this Helix3 plugin as such because to prevent conflict issues from the original Helix3.

However, if this not what you're asking, kindly explain more so that we can understand your inquiries better.

The Helix 3 Editor allows for the addition and such of Blocks - the Office Template does not - the Office template only has two colors that can be changed in the Preset tab.. and other such 'changes' to the Editor. I was hoping the Office Template changes could be incorporated into a 'normal' Helix 3 template.. so that Blocks could be added and other colors could be changed.

The main reason for wanting to do this is to keep the same 'look' across a website while still allowing for 3rd Party software that uses other blocks to display pages. (ie.. Reviews and Cookbooks)..

With other templates using other systems - I've been able to move a few folders into the other template and change CSS and all that..

Well, I appreciate your candor - I'm disappointed that, "Without allowing users to accidentally mess up" - something they've purchased..

However, that pretty much answered my original question - We can mark this discussion 'resolved' Thank you Mark!

Hey Edward,

Thanks for the input on this, I will discuss this with our team and see if there's any way we can address this in the near future by allowing it to be more customisable in that sense.
