Hello!
I have a lot of super users on site, so I disabled option "Notify Administrators On New Posts".
But I added emails to field "Send Copy To Custom E-mail Addresses"

But no any messages on those emails...
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay in this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Currently, this setting "Send Copy To Custom E-mail Addresses" is respected to this "Notify Administrators On New Posts" setting, if this setting is turned off, then the system will not send any notification to the site administrator and the custom email address you set.

In my opinion, you can try the following configuration and see how it goes?

1. Untick the user group from the backend > Easydiscuss > categories > edit each of the category > click permission tab > click moderate post in this category

2. Then set the custom email notification from the same editing category page. (you can check my screenshot below)

3. Enable the "Notify Moderators On New Posts" setting.

4. Try to submit a new discussion, it should only notify to your custom email account.

Okay, I will test on your site, but before I test on your site, I will need to verify the following things:

1. is it you only want to send an email notification to this non-registered site account (contact@directory.audio) when a new discussion/reply post is published?

2. And all these new discussion/reply posts will be under moderation first, right?

3. Also, can I have permission to submit a test post on your site to test this?

1. contact@directory.audio is the main site email. Maybe later I'll add a new one.
Need to send a new email notification when a new discussion/reply post is published.

2. No. I configured displaying a captcha for the first post from a new user. No need for moderation because I'll get the notification.

3. Yes, of course. Just remove it after testing.

Thanks.

This is what I have done on your site:

1. Set all the categories "custom Email address" to contact@directory.audio

2. Untick all the user groups under this permission tab "moderate post in this category"

3. Disabled the following notification settings:
- Notify Administrators On New Posts
- Notify Administrators On New Replies

4. Enabled the following notification settings:
- Notify Moderators On New Posts
- Notify Moderators On New Replies

Testing result:
When I publish a new discussion post under the category "Common Questions", it will send an email notification to the custom email account that I set from this category configuration setting, you can check my attached screenshot below.

By the way, I noticed that you have more than 20 pending email notifications that haven't send out yet, I suspect you haven't set up a cronjob on your server right?

I have set cronjobs, and it's working ok.
But some emails in activities list have status Unpublished.

I see, it look like those pending email notification is about the digest email notification.

It will probably send out when the next cronjob executes it.

By the way, have you tested again on your site yet? This email account contact@directory.audio should receive those email notifications now.

I am trying to achieve the same thing (send to more than one email when a post is created or replied to) and followed all of your steps above (1 - 4), however no emails are being sent.

Perhaps you can start a new thread on our forum and update your site backend access so we can investigate your issue?

Just for your information, I have locked and marked this thread as resolved to avoid confusion in the future. Please start a new thread if you have any other issues in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiries.

Thanks for understanding.
