notifications on edits and blog preview in backend

Hello SI Team!

1. Can you confirm that when someone edits a post, a notification is *not* sent to the subscribers?
2. If someone subscribes to the site and to a blog entry, will they receive 2 notifications when they add a post in the subscribed blog?
3. Wanting to preview a blog before publishing it... using the backend blog editor. How do I preview the post before publishing? I tried logging into the front end as I saw a forum article stating this would allow me to preview in the backend but I still don't see a preview button in the backend.

Yes, if the author edit a blog post, users won't get notified.

2. If someone subscribes to the site and to a blog entry, will they receive 2 notifications when they add a post in the subscribed blog?

No, they will receive only one notification. For example, if user A subscribe to the category and also to the entire site, he/she will only get one notification.

3. Wanting to preview a blog before publishing it... using the backend blog editor. How do I preview the post before publishing? I tried logging into the front end as I saw a forum article stating this would allow me to preview in the backend but I still don't see a preview button in the backend.

Because of some incompatible issues, we had remove the preview button for Joomla 3.0 and above. You can only preview it from the frontend. However, if you still want the button to be displayed in the backend, please replace the attached file here: ../administrator/components/com_easyblog/views/blogs/tmpl/default_bootstrap.php

Q. If someone unpublishes/publishes an entry several times... does a notification get sent out every time?

The notification will not send out every time, because that blog post is not new published, if you would like to send email notification to your user again, you should click Notify button from your backend > blog page , check my screenshot below. Hope this help.

I'm looking for some "easy" doc to give the user on how to post/edit their Easy Blog entries.
