Notifications in main menu

When we receive notifications a number appears beside the envelope icon. This number does not seem to go away until I manually open every single notification. However I can easily see the notifications when I open the envelope icon. Is there a way to 'clear all' of the notifications without opening every one manually?

Currently there is no settings to clear the count or you could remove it by hack. Another option is to switch off your filter in Backend > EasyDiscuss > Settings > Layout > General > Filter.
