Notifications for easy discuss do not display in stack idea toolbar

Hello,

I am unable to get notifications for easydiscuss in the stack idea toolbar. I enabled the easy discuss notification module and notifications will appear there.

I even set the stackideas toolbar to default to easy discuss but it still does not receive notification.

I tried to select all the options to integrate the notifications but was not successful.

Could you check the settings on my site at your convenience?
Hi Jonathan,

You can actually integrate EasyDiscuss notifications into EasySocial's so you don't need separate notification systems.

What you have to do is install and publish discuss app in EasySocial.

Hello,

I have the discuss app installed. The notifications still don’t appear on the toolbar for some reason. I published the easydiscuss notification module and saw there were notifications showing there.

Hey Jonathan,

It appears that the alerts were not discovered in EasySocial yet. I have helped you discover them. Can you try generating new EasyDiscuss notifications again?

Looks like something went wrong. No notifications appear in the pop up and the attached error shows when I click show all notifications.

It appears that the error is caused by a Joomla 4 compatibility issue in the user discuss app. I will log this in our tracker so we can address this.

In the meantime, I have helped you apply a fix in the following file. Can you try again?

You may find all JString instances in the file and change them to EDJString(example attached).
