Notifications disappear after you read one

Hello!
Sometimes I will log into my site with multiple notifications. I will click to read one, then when i go to check the other ones, they are gone and it says no new notifications. Is this normal?

It is most likely that the option shown here, http://take.ms/w4JJ9 is enabled on your site. When this option is activated, opening the notifications would mark all notifications as read.

If you do not want to have such behavior, you could turn this option off
