I am not being notified of comments awaiting moderation. I only see them if I happen to log into EasyBlog for some reason.
Hi John,

Perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly?

Please advise.

Hi John,

I just tested the comment on your site and I did get notified by email whenever there are new comments that are awaiting for moderation. Refer my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/7eRpe9nYKy . May I know which email address you are using to get notified via email?

My email address is: john.redman@me.com

I have checked carefully and have definitely not been receiving the notifications.

Hey John,

Try to see if they are on the spam folders? It wouldn't make sense if Ezrul was able to receive notifications but not your mailbox.

I cannot understand either. I have consistently checked my spam and trash folders but they simply do now show up anywhere.
When I log into the account from the front end and go to the dashboard I see them indicated there and that's the only way I know there's something waiting to be checked and approved.
Perhaps it will just have to remain on of the mysteries of life - unless you have some other suggestion.

Hey John,

Do you have any other email address? Can you provide us with one of the email address?

Hm, not really sure how to test this. Perhaps you could register for a gmail address?

I updated to the latest version of the software hoping this would possibly solve the problem.
I made a new post. I can see it awaiting moderation along with yours if I go to the back end. I have not received an email notifying me of either your post or mine requiring moderation so I cannot understand how you were notified and I was not. Very peculiar!

I don't really want to create a gmail address at this time.
I have one more question.
I am using the Bubbles theme but it appears to be transparent now so the blog posts are on a blue background and harder to read. Is there a way to adjust it so the actual blog posts have a white background instead of being transparent? I have tried the other themes but they seem to be all the same.

Hey John,

You could add the block of css codes below into your template's css file to enforce a white background:

div#fd.eb .eb-posts .eb-post {
background: #fff;
}

I tried this, flushed the cache etc. but the background to the posts still doesn't appear white. ? ?
Did I miss something?

Where did you place them? You could try placing them in /templates/ektithemi/css/template.css

You also copied the code syntax. You shouldn't be doing that. Just copy the exact codes as below:

div#fd.eb .eb-posts .eb-post {
background: #fff;
}

Thank you for your exceptional patience with me. I really appreciate your outstanding assistance.
I have made the change and it's working properly now.

With the latest revision to the software the first part of the comments are not being shown like they were previously - or maybe I have inadvertently changed a setting without realizing it.

Not really sure if I understand you here. What do you mean by "first part of the comments"? Could you please start a new thread on our forums rather than replying here? It would make your tickets easier to be managed

Look at the 2nd post on my blog.
The line afterwards says how many hits and how many comments.
Previously, before the software update, the first couple of lines of up to 5 comments would be actually shown followed by a button that said "show more."

In the settings I switched off the post date but that still shows as well. Sorry.

These options are configured in the menu level. Click on your "Blog" menu item and you can configure the properties here To show comment previews, see my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/sjBmk4L6fvo

If you want to disable the post date, you can do it under the "Post" tab.

I am a little frustrated. I just checked my Menu settings as you indicated and that is exactly how it is set. Please see the attached screenshot.
The same is true of the post date. it is disabled but still shows.
I am wondering if there are some minor bugs still in this software update?

Hi John,

To be honest I'm not really understand what is the exact issue here. I just tried to disabled "show comment counter" and "show comment preview" from your backend menu item settings, http://screencast.com/t/WiwuNhpDkiQ and it actually working correctly. Check my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/qpx00KoA8 .

The same goes with show post date settings, http://screencast.com/t/dAOCEXBU . Here is your frontend view, http://screencast.com/t/oNFwhhkb .

By the way as a gentle reminder kindly start a new thread if there are issues that are unrelated with the initial question posted above to avoid confusion between stackideas staff and other user when they are try to find the solution to the initial issue.

I noticed this morning that it is now working correctly although it definitely was not yesterday.
Thank you for all your efforts to assist me.
I believe this thread can be closed now.
I wish you every success in all your endeavors.
