Perhaps you have to try view that notification and see the number is it still exist?

By right, if you view on the notification like 'conversation' (video link - http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-05-14_2344.swf ) then it will reduce 1.

But is there a way to just make the number go away once you click on the notification? For example: if someone posted in one of my groups I get a notification, if i click on the notifications "globe" it remains there until I click on the notification itself, that´s not an issue if you have one notifications, but if you have twenty, you need to click them all or "mark as read"... is there a way to make it dissapear after just clicking once the notifications "globe"?
