I was not able to go to your sites backend through the link you provided http://www.secretaressenet.nl/administrator please advice?

1) The users do get e-mail notifications but are not subscribed. I turned automatic subscription off but it doesn't help. They get all the e-mails I think and go crazy ;-)
Are you using easyblog for this? If you are you could check them in the subscription list.

2) When subscribing to one article, do you subscribe for all comments or just the comments of this article?
Only if they are subscribe to the side wide subscription.

And I'm using Komento Premium.

There are only two users in the subscription list and all users get e-mail notifications, I think of all comments.

There is no choice for a site wide description in Komento? I haven't seen it.

If they are not there, they are probably tide up to the notification user group, In Backend > Integration > Joomla Article > Notification

You can see the sent mail in your mail queue in komento control panel.

Ok...

All users get notifications, also the users that are not subscribed (and not in the subscriberslist).

I thought that the button 'subscribers get notification' and the selection of the groups was one option. I want that only the subscribers receive notifications and no one else. So this option means that the subscribers AND the selected groups receive notifications, I don't want to select a group at all. But that's not possible?

So when I turn off the groups (how?)
And a subscriber has a subscription to one article
only the subscribers for that article get a notification?

I've set the groups only to administrators and subscribers to Yes. I tested one article I'm subscribed to (i'm not an administrator). And One article I'm not subscribed to.
I did not receive a notification of both articles. In the sent mail queue, only the two administrators did receive a notification. So what I'm I doing wrong?

I want that ONLY the subscribers receive notifications of the article they subscribed for.

So sorry for the late reply as it is a weekend for us here.
I've fixed it for you. What I did was deselect all user groups from the list (CTRL+selected user group): http://screencast.com/t/MYplJkNC . And now notification will only be sent to the subscribers.
