Greetings - I have 2 questions.

1. If I schedule a blog for a date in the future and activate the Notify Subscribers toggle, will the email be sent out on the publication day or as soon as I click "Publish"?

2. It seems since the new upgrade that the EasyBlog logo is on the emails sent out from the system. How can I disable this branding?

Thanks,
Randy
Hey there,

1. If I schedule a blog for a date in the future and activate the Notify Subscribers toggle, will the email be sent out on the publication day or as soon as I click "Publish"?

The email notification will be sent out to the subscribers based on the publication day that you set

May I know do you have setup a cronjob from your server as the schedule post relies on the cronjob?

If you need help on how to setup the cronjob, you can provide us your cpanel access so we can assist you on this.

2. It seems since the new upgrade that the EasyBlog logo is on the emails sent out from the system. How can I disable this branding?

Yup, it is possible to do that. You can go to Backend > EasyBlog > Settings > Notifications > General > enable 'Use Custom Email Logo'.

May I know how did you change your email logo previously?

Thanks Irwin, that answers my questions.

RE: #1 - I have set up crons thru EasyCron. It seems to work ok but seems to fail at least once every time we send emails. Then is recovers. I was never able to set up the cron to work in our cPanel -- that's why we went to EasyCron.

RE: #2 - I don't specifically remember how I changed the email logo...but probably per instructions. The logo seems to have been reverted to EasyBlog after one of the updates. I just caught it after the last mailing went out.

You're most welcome.

It might be one of the possibility last time you added that email logo from the Easyblog core file, so when you update to next EasyBlog version, then it will override that changes.

Perhaps you can monitor and see whether it still revert back that Easyblog logo for the next update.
