Hi Guys I'm having problems with users either getting too many emails or not getting them at all - just to clarify - on the easy discuss home page if they use the subscribe link do they get notifications on all category posts? OR do they have to also subscribe to each category as well? Also I had the settings set to notify all users on New posts but they were recieving 6 copies of the same post? I've turned this off however side admins are now saying that users aren't receiving any notifications even though they are subscribed to the site?
Hello Nick,

When the user subscribes to the site wide, they will get notifications whenever a new discussion is created. Perhaps the reason of those duplicates is probably because the cronjob wasn't created and you are using the "Send email on page load" option. Please refer to the guide here to setup your cron job, http://stackideas.com/docs/easydiscuss/cronjobs

Hi I have followed the Cpanel Cron Job instructions and also confirmed the following however subscribed users still don't seem to be getting notifications - admins are getting them.
The correct path for wget is : /usr/bin/wget
my command is as follows:
/usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://www.belkingreenroom.com.au/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss&task=cron";
I have added site details is it possible you could please check our notification settings?

Looks like CRON and emails are now being processed OK however some users are still complaining that they are getting multiple emails- "I am receiving only one copy, however, some colleagues in our office are receiving two and some of our reps on the road are receiving 6 copies and they are not happy about it!" If they are subscribed via easy discuss homepage(site) and subscribed to a category plus a participant will they receive multiple emails? If so this isn't good? Also send on page load is OFF

Hello Nick,

Try setting it to 5 minutes - 10 minutes so that the cronjobs doesn't overlap with one another.
