It seems like the issue was caused by the following plugin, "System - jBar". As soon I disabled the plugin the notification is showing up correctly as in my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/FdOn2vz5e2 . However this plugins seems related with the top bar that appearing on your homepage so I have to enable the plugin back for now. You can try to disable the plugin above and see how it goes.

I tried to disable the jbar but module is not working yet. I tried with 2 different browsers.

It seems like your site missing this language file JoomlaFolder\language\en-GB\en-GB.mod_easydiscuss_notifications.ini, i already help you updated, it should work fine now.
