I am getting the following error on the front end of my Joomla site on the Easy Blog Pro section: Notice: Undefined index: 3.4 in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\lantecsystems3\components\com_easyblog\helpers\helper.php on line 1621

The error appears between the banner and the blog post I have. It repeats itself six times. The site does appear to work even with this error. The error also appears when trying to view a specific blog.

I have just updated my site from 2.5 to 3.4 and then updated EasyBlog. This site is my test site to finish the upgrade so it does not have any public access at all at this time.
OK, I already have an update on this. Apparently the latest version of the software reverted back to the old version over night. I had problems changing the Post Cover picture size. I would change it on the back end and it would not change anything on the front end. I thought I would sleep on it and then noticed it looked fine this morning with the exception of the above errors so I created this post. I then went in to the back end and noticed the format looked like the old format and then verified it said 3.9 on manage extensions. I then updated the site again to the latest version and now I have the Post Cover picture size not accepting the new parameters I am setting (size of pictures) but the index error is gone. The backend does save the settings and looks correct but the front end is still showing the Post Cover picture as large and centered for both listing and entry. I will let you know if it reverts back to the old version tomorrow. That is real strange. Once I have this test site finished I plan to back it up and then restore it to the live site.

Hey Christopher,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Sure, let us know if you need us to investigate on this for you. By the way, you should use the latest version 5.0.25

I think I have it working now but I do have one question. What is the difference between the component and the modules? Apparently I had both installed and it started to work when I disabled the component. The component was also a slightly older version at 5.0.22 while all the modules are 5.0.25. If the component is not needed I will uninstall it.

By the way when I disabled the component the images started to work with the correct size.

I guess I was too quick to post. Apparently it shot me over to my old site and I have noticed the test site does not work at all with the component part disabled. I have tried to install the version 5.0.25 which did not do anything. I then uninstalled version 5.0.22 and then tried to install 5.0.25 and it still will not install. The file I am trying to install is "com_easyblog_component_pro_5.0.25_joomla3.0.zip"

I do have a backup before I did this so I can always revert back to the older version if needed.

Hey Christopher,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Hm, do you want us to try to perform the upgrade for you on your test site so that we can take a look at the issue?

Hello Christopher,

You can provide it in the Site Details below the reply form. Only support team will be able to see it.

I have fixed the php.ini file to reflect the changes that Nick recommended. I did try to install it but I received the following error:

Warning
JInstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file.

and

Error
Unable to find install package

Great! Thank you. Can you also look at the post cover issue? The picture is centered and it is huge but the settings seem correct to me.

Hello,

Please replace the attached file in: ../components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/blogs/latest/post.cover.php and see how it goes.

Hi Christopher,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. I've checked your site and it seems like you have enabled "use full width" for your post cover hence the image will be stretched out to full width. You can find the options from your backend > easyblog > settings > layout > posts cover as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/7Xg1Fn45uF and you can freely adjust the size by enabling "crop" function to suit your needs.

Hope these help.

There is still something wrong. The "use full width" was not checked so I checked it. That did not do anything but then I unchecked it and the site got better. The problem now is that the image size that I am selecting is not working. For the listing it seems to be stuck on thumbnail size even though I have changed it to small. The entry was the opposite. I have now set them both to small and the entry is still showing thumbnail and the entry is small. I do not think I should have to check and uncheck things to make it work so I think something strange is going on. Is it possible that the test site is somehow working or communicating with my live site that is using the older version? They are hosted on the same server and in some cases I have seen it jump from this site and show me the blogs on my live site. (Basically I am not sure how your key works. I have it on my live site and this test site. Note sure if this causes some weird behavior.)

See Site Details. Let me know if you have problems with the URL since it is temporary.

Hey Christopher,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. Hm, I am actually a little lost over what you are trying to achieve here. The image type that you chose on the settings should not reflect on the size of the image. If you set a width on the settings, it would then use the width. The image source type allows you to choose which image variation that you like to use for the post cover.

The question is, do you want to display a smaller image? If so, at what size?

My goal is to get it to look like my live site (which is currently running Joomla 2.5 and EasyBlog 3.9). Here is a link: http://www.lantecsystems.com/lsi-blog
It is the SSL picture that is not formatting correctly. (The Post Cover pic)

Hey Christopher,

I believe Nik might have misunderstood your request earlier because the hacks which he provided to you earlier does a different thing altogether. I have configured it to use a maximum of 200px in width for the items listed on your front page listings. Please try this again now.
