We received an email from Facebook about needing to go through another review process. Here is the notice:

App Review required by August 1, 2018 to retain access to Facebook Platform APIs
The Facebook App Review process and API permissions model have been updated. Learn more.
In order to maintain your current API access, your app will need to be submitted for review by August 1, 2018. If your app is not submitted for review, you will lose access to these permissions and features.
user_friends
user_link
user_gender
user_age_range
The Facebook Platform APIs have been updated with these changes. Please review the FAQ to ensure you request the correct permissions and features with your app review submission.
If access to the permissions and features is approved, the app may need to be associated to a verified business to complete App Review.

Got one of these as well!

You can ignore these notice is because our extension doesn't need these Facebook user permissions from the app but i think you guys have to start submit these following user permission from your Facebook app if you using Easyblog or Easydiscuss extension, in case Facebook reviewer take very long to review your app submission.

Because I did tried submitted these user permission from my test app since Facebook announced they updated their APIs again at lend of last month, some of the user permission required to submit for review in order to access to the permissions and features, but until now (14 days) I haven't get any response from the Facebook reviewer yet after submitted, my submission app still under pending state.

Since Facebook reviewer haven't approve my current submitted those user permission from my app, so I am not really sure what is correct description should i let them know about these user permission, but you guys can give it a try, I will show some of the example :

If someone who want to autopost to your Facebook group, you have to temporary turn on your Facebook app to development mode, then re-authenticate with your Facebook user account from your site backend > Easyblog > autopost > Facebook is because Facebook already stopped user to retrieve their group data from Facebook account, unless you get these following user permission approved by Facebook reviewer.

For app development mode, you can able to retrieve user group, once you authenticated, you can easier to record a video to show Facebook reviewer to know how this autopost work and that Facebook pop up which data we needed as well.

Request these following Facebook app user permission for autopost to Group :
1. groups_access_member_info
- How is your app using groups_access_member_info?
Retrieve the authenticate user account Facebook Group data.

- Please give them detailed step-by-step instructions for how to see this permission the same way people using your app would.
example :
1. Login with Facebook to the "yourAppName" app.
2. Select allow user permission.
3. Click "Okay" button.
4. Immediately after accepting, you will see those Facebook groups list which belong to the Facebook user account..

2. publish_to_groups
- How is your app using publish_to_groups?
Allow site blogger to publish their blog post to the Facebook groups.

- Please give them detailed step-by-step instructions for how to see this permission the same way people using your app would.
example :
1. Login with Facebook to the "yourAppName" app.
2. Select allow user permission.
3. Click "Okay" button.
4. Immediately after accepting, you will see those Facebook groups list which belong to the Facebook user account.
5. Once the user authenticated this, this user can write a new blog post on the site then this post will autopost to Facebook group.

Request these following Facebook app user permission for autopost to Page:
Currently Facebook still allow user to access their Facebook page data once authenticated with their Facebook user account from Easyblog, but no buddy will know when Facebook decide to stop this access like the group what i described at above.

To be safe, start request these following user permission from your app early.
1. manage_pages
- How is your app using manage_pages?
Retrieve the authenticate user account Facebook Page data.

- Please give them detailed step-by-step instructions for how to see this permission the same way people using your app would.
example :
1. Login with Facebook to the "yourAppName" app.
2. Select allow manage pages permission.
3. Click "Okay" button.
4. Immediately after accepting, you will see those Facebook pages list which belong to the Facebook user account.

2. publish_pages
- How is your app using publish_pages?
Allow site blogger to publish their blog post to the Facebook pages.

- Please give them detailed step-by-step instructions for how to see this permission the same way people using your app would.
example :
1. Login with Facebook to the "yourAppName" app.
2. Select allow publish pages permission.
3. Click "Okay" button.
4. Immediately after accepting, you will see those Facebook pages list which belong to the Facebook user account.
5. Once the user authenticated this, this user can write a new blog post on the site then this post will autopost to Facebook page.

Upload screencast
The video have to show Facebook reviewer how you click on that sign in via Facebook button, pop up (view those manage group/page permission), and how this autopost process.

You can watch my attached 2 sample videos :
1. show them page/group data retrieve from that authenticated user account
2. show them how to publish a blog post and autopost to Facebook page/group page.

Once you have done all this, you have turn back your app to public mode if your current extension needed this app for autopost to Facebook page feature, because development mode only for testing purpose.

If I am not wrong, when you authenticate with your Facebook user account from Easyblog if your Facebook app just created it after May, 2018 , you will getting this notice http://take.ms/R8XlS , mean you have to get these user permission approved in order authenticate with your Facebook user account.

Arlex,

I am sorry to have not done anything about this yet. Looks like Facebook is making a bit of work for us. I will try to get back to this when I have a free block of time and will report back to you.

Thank you, Sean

WOW! Life should not be this hard - yet another reason to ditch FB. Can any one simplify this for me. I am a bear with a small brain and a desire for honey!

Oh Christopher Robin....

Yes, I agreed with you but Facebook continues to tighten security after the Cambridge Analytica saga, so we have to follow Facebook privacy rules to submit these user permission for review.

Perhaps you can start a new thread on our forums and explain to us which part you do not understand so we will assist you.
