Notice Could not start mail function

Just added a new blog to my website and ever since I receive the error 'Notice Could not start mail function' above my blog.

It doesn't appear on any other page apart from my blog page. Any ideas?

I am sorry for the delay of this reply as its weekends here.

I believe its because when you submit the blog post it will try to send email notification to your users or subscribers but your email setting is not sending out the email properly. You can check your email setting by going to your joomla backend > global configuration

It seems that it was a temporary issue. I will keep an eye on it and inform if the problem persists. My email is working fine on my website so that's not the issue.
