Hi! I am trying to install EasySocial2 Full Package on my localhost but when I try to upload & install the zipped package absolutely nothing happens(not even an error message). It installed just fine on the actual domain, but it just won't install on my localhost. The installation process starts just fine when I try to install the launcher package, but then I get the error that I need to install the full package. I've even tried downloading it again and retried. Still nothing.
Please help.
I forgot to mention that I have an older version installed and I'm trying to install 2.0.10 now.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holiday for us here.

That was difficult for us to tell you what wrong with your local installation issue.

Perhaps you can try follow my below instruction and see is it help?

1. Double check with your PHP information :
max_execution_time = set to 500
post_max_size = set to 64M
upload_max_filesize = set to 64M

2. Then try upload full installer from backend > extension > manage > install

If still can't try following step :

1. Upload full installer zip file into your Joomla root tmp folder (JoomlaFolder/tmp/,,) and extract it.

2. Then backend > extension > manage > install > choose install from directory tab > set the path (http://screen.stackideas.com/Extensions__Install_-_Easysocial_2.0_-_Administration_-_Opera_2017-02-09_17.03.04.png) > then click install

If still can't try following step : (this following step is getting from Easyblog, but it similar with Easysocial, you can use the same step)

1. Upload full installer zip file into your tmp folder and extract it -> http://take.ms/JEkEs

3. Then go to your Joomla installer page > click on install from folder tab > set the correct path link to your installation zip file location
screenshot : http://take.ms/fo2Oo

4. Once it show Easyblog continue installation, you have to extract that installation zip file from your local and copy this component zip file -> After extracted/setup/packages/com_easyblog_5.0.42_component_pro.zip
Then upload into this file location from your server -> .../administrator/components/com_easyblog/setup/packages
screenshot : http://take.ms/FK0tn

5. After uploaded, then click on install Easyblog button > click next > then select install from directory method and select that component zip file (screenshot : https://www.screencast.com/t/ENGzDC9qjMPX ) then click next.

Can you give it a check is it work fine?
