Currently it is not possible to do that because by default if the user isn't logged in, the system would automatically prevent them from loading more stream items. The main reason for this is performance related issues when it needs to calculate the permissions of every stream items.

Hello Mark, thank you for this answer, this is a pitty, because in our planned structure it should not be important for all guests to have an account. I did not think this would use so much more performance, as it would calculate permissions even for different user/friend constellations too. But thank you for this reason, so i know about it now.
