EasyDiscuss doesn't support watchful currently. Not entirely sure how did the watchful guys monitor for updates on EasyDiscuss. Could you check this with them?

Perhaps it might be better if you check that with them as I'm sure there are more clients than me using Watchful. Either way, the current installation is out of date and the updater is not showing that an update exists. It just keep showing that it's looking.

We don't currently support watchful but since you are their customer, I think you should get in touch with them and ask them if their system supports EasyDiscuss? I will also get Sylvie to get in touch with them as soon as the week starts.

Either way, you could actually see if you are outdated from the back end of EasyDiscuss.

We strongly support Ric's request for watchful. A compatibility to watchful seems essential nowadays and maybe even critical.

Furthermore, the EasyDiscuss backend shows that we are currently running on 4.0.8 and that a version 4.0.14 is available. Yet the EasyDiscuss backend says that we are up to date, which obviously can't be true.
So regardless from watchful, the update to 4.0.14 isn't working at the moment.

Yes, there is a bug in the version checks prior to version 4.0.10. Hence, the only way right now is to update it so that it will display a proper warning.

As for watchful integrations, this is something that we are looking at as we have already plugged in the support for Joomla updater.

Thanks for the response and the integrations. It will save a lot of time. Apart from that, those of us who are developers rely very much on Watchful like services to update all our sites and to alert us to when upgrades are available.

Thanks for your input Ric. The only problem that we face is that we cannot perform all updates in 1 single request. It will definitely time out 90% of the time. Hence, the need of our own installation process to split the load across.

But how can we update the version 4.0.8?
The Joomla's integrated update function doesn't find any newer versions and the stackideas dashboard neither.
Can we just upload the version 4.0.15 or will all settings and topics etc. be lost then?

All you need to do is to download the latest version from https://stackideas.com/dashboard and install it via Extensions Manager. Rest assured that all your data and settings will remain intact. The only changes are on EasyDiscuss files.
