Hello Support,

as most events will be added on our site from just a handful people, that won't attend on each of their added events, i would like to not being for default the first attendant after creating an event. Please help, how to get there.

Thank you and best regards, Macjoomla
Hi there,
Event creators auto attending events on first creation is the current default behavior and there's no simple way to do so otherwise currently.
If you really want to achieve this, perhaps you can post a customization request and request a quote from us at https://crm.stackideas.com and select "Customizations". Our sales person would be glad to send you a quote for the customization that you have requested.

Hello Raymond and thank you for your answer. That is something i did not expect, because this seems to be a basic feature of an eventcalendar, if not even the normal case. So what do you think should an community organizer do, adding event after event end alwayas afterwards going back to the event for not attending? Imagine a weekly recurring event the organizer creates but not attends – this will take 52 times in a year to go to an event and tell it, to not attending.

So please consider to introduce this common and basic function for all ES Users. This should not be a single user Customizations…

I am just wondering, how others do…

Best regards, Macjoomla

Thanks for your input, base on what i know we never receive any user complain about this behaviour before, so far you are the only one complain this.

If you really want to change this behaviour, you have to modify on this file -> JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/event/event.php

//Line 1755
$guest->state = SOCIAL_STATE_PUBLISHED;

// Replace with
$guest->state = SOCIAL_STATE_UNPUBLISHED;

Hope this will help.

Hello Arlex,

thank you very much for this fast and simple solution

Would be even more happy, if this could find its way to the preferences to toggle default between SOCIAL_STATE_UNPUBLISHED and SOCIAL_STATE_PUBLISHED

Thank you and best regards, Macjoomla

You are most welcome.

I think you can request this feature into our forum -> https://stackideas.com/forums/easysocial/feature-requests-2

We will see if there a lot of user request this, if yes, we will definitely consider change this behaviour in the future version.

As a gentle reminder, kindly start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiry. I will lock and mark this thread as resolved.
