When using the autopost feature, the backlink used on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin is not the SEO friendly url that I have created on the website. Instead its the component url.

How can this be changed as it currently has 2 urls for the same page, terrible for SEO
Hey Adrian,

What is the URL that is being used? Do you have SH404 installed on your site?

But the link of Facebook is:
http://www.jmsofdoncasterltd.co.uk/component/easyblog/part-of-the-uk-s-fastest-growing-pallet-network?Itemid=198

The extension version is 5.1.12, would updating the extension make a difference?

No we do not use any extensions for SEO.

Hey Adrian,

Hm, it seems like it's not being able to detect the "198" menu id. Are you posting from the back end or the front end? If you post this on the front end, do you hit similar problems?

Hey Adrian,

Sorry, what I mean was are you publishing the blog post from the back end? By the way, is it possible for you to upgrade to the latest version and give this a try?

Sorry, via the admin area.

I will update the module before we release the next post. Its a client website and we release 1 blog a month so it will be in 4-5 weeks time.

I will let you know how I get on then!
