No weekly repeat on events

I went to create my first weekly event. When I choose the "Repeat" dropdown field, it shows none, daily, monthly and yearly - but know weekly!?!
this is particularly bad form for this site as most events will be weekly.
Any ideas where I go to get "weekly" happening?
Actually that `daily` is same concept with `weekly`, imagine if you want every week Sunday to repeat the event, you can set it as `daily` and tick `Sunday`, so the system will repeat the event every Sunday and also based on your end repeat date you set.
