Hello,

The upload files button is not showing up and neither is the ReCaptcha in the comment form. I have enabled both at the backend, I have gone through all the settings, but nothing is working!

Furthermore, despite the fact that I have specified that comments by Public and Guest should be moderated, they were being published until I made comments by all user groups (from Public to Super User) to be moderated.

And finally, the Submit Comment button did not work until I enabled "Load Komento's jQuery Library" under
Settings > System. Is this normal?

I don't understand what is going on.

Please help.

PS: I resolved the ReCaptcha issue by requiring it for all user groups.
The reason why you enable this option "Load Komento's jQuery Library" it work is most likely because your current site jQuery version is lower than Komento default jQuery library, so it is not compatible with the jQuery version.

If you enable that option, it will load Komento jQuery version and it will not affect with your current site.

Thanks for the response on the jQuery Library question.

However, I still need to know how to get the Upload Files button to appear for attachments. I have enabled this feature for all my User Groups but the button and functionality to attach files do not appear. This is the main reason I bought Komento so it is very very important I get this working.

hey there,

Can you try take a look of my attached screenshot below and check and see whether you have enabled those setting from backend?

if that upload button still not appear on your comment form, can you update your Joomla backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

Hello,

I have enabled everything as in the screenshots, but the upload button is still not appearing.

I have updated the Joomla backend and FTP access as requested.

Thanks,

It seems like your site guest user group already changed to 5.4GHz Group , that is why the upload button is not show on the page.

I already help you enabled upload attachment ACL for this guest user group from Komento, it should appear that upload button for guest user now.

Thank you very very much. Problem solved.

I didn't know about the Guest setting - don't even know how it happened. It explains a lot of other problems I've been having, so you've fixed two issues.

I have one final question - where can I find the commenters' uploaded files? Where is the default location? I set the upload folder in "Custom Storage Path" but I can't find anything in the specified folder.

Thanks again.

You're welcome.

You can check my attached screenshot below where is the setting location :

If you didn't set any custom path for it, it will use this following path,
JoomlaFolder/media/com_komento/uploads

If you set custom path for it, it will only apply on this uploads folder only.

For example : my custom path set to /images/stuff

It will automatically create this new folder into this folder -> JoomlaFolder/media/com_komento/uploads/images/stuff/
