No translation of "Read More" in the showcase module repost of #51373

The slider of featured posts available on each blog page has a correct translation for "Read More"

However, when using the showcase module to place a featured posts slider within a joomla article on the site front page, the link title is not translated ie its reads "Read More" instea of "Lire la suite".

I looked for a missing translation in the language file of ez blog, but did'nt find any; There is no READ_MORE string in the featured section of the file; I did not find any separate language file for the module
What next ?
Okay, done.

I apologize for bothering you with that. When I did not find the module in the french language folder, I did not complete my reasoning and look for it in the english language folder...

The translation is located in the admin language file at /administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_easyblog.ini . Just search for the following string,



COM_EASYBLOG_STRING_TRUNCATER_MORE="More"

Hi Mark

I did as instructed. Replaced "more" by "lire la suite". No effect (why would modifying the en-GB file affect the french tranlation ?)

I then noted that the equivalent fr-Fr file is much shorter, and does not contain a translation for COM_EASYBLOG_STRING_TRUNCATER_MORE="More" so I added at the end a new line COM_EASYBLOG_STRING_TRUNCATER_MORE="Lire la suite" No effect either.

What next ?

But please don't spend your week end on this. There is no urgency, it is purely cosmetic and just slightly annoying.

Note just to be sure, I also purged the Joomla and the browser caches.

Sorry,

As I said in my first post the slider of featured posts in the blog list view is OK. The issue is with the slider generated by the showcase module as shown on theattachment (I hope). It is inserted in a joola article, to appear on the front page of the site.

Ah, okay. You need to copy the file from /language/en-GB/en-GB.mod_easyblogshowcase.ini and place it in /language/fr-FR/fr-FR.mod_easyblogshowcase.ini . Then, edit and translate the contents
