May i know which component you update?

Is it can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

It works now with updates. Although users cannot upload images directly.

I never tested this before so probably was like this before. Is this common?

How is it possible for users to simply upload an image to a group or page etc. Show it shows on the actual description (not gallery)

Thank you

Steve

Hello Steve,

It is currently not possible because it doesn't make sense for users to use the core article functionality on the description. The WYSIWYG editor is mainly to allow users to format the description with HTML codes.

I have had a couple of requests for this function for events and for the 'page'. They struggle with using the media link function.

Is it possible buy an editor that uploads images, as I also think it adds value.

Wordpress does this as standard but its a struggle to get this impliments with joomla

Thank you for the continued help

Hey Steve,

Perhaps you can try use JCE editor and see how it goes?

After you installed, you have to set this "Relative URL" to NO, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Based on what i checked, it seems like default Tiny-MCE editor only render that "Image" button who having Superadmin privilege on the site.
