Hello,

A few questions i have and looking for answers

1. I have the EasySocial Login module set.

I have facebook login set.
But why doesn't it show a register link as well in the module?
Cause if i get a visitor that wants to register without facebook there isn't a link...

If you look at the login box in the menu here at stackideas, it does show: Create a new account
I dont have that.

2.on my index.php?option=com_easysocial&view=profiles
the joomla default was set as default, i changed it to JomSocial (thats the name it has)
Was that ok?

3. thing i dont get is the custom fields of the registration....
If i visit my site and want to register it says: You are currently registering under the profile Registered Users. Switch Profile?

Thats weird as the configuration shows that its set to jomsocial profile...
And if i click switch nothing happens...the same form shows.

And the registration form that shows is easysocial standard one....

So ??
Hi,

We will amend the "submit" text into "continue". Thanks for the heads up.

As for the registration steps, this is a common design and if you would not like to have "steps", you can disable the steps bar in Themes, and you can also configure the registration steps under Profiles -> Select Profile -> Custom Fields, and design the registration fields down to only a single step (by deleting all other steps and remain only 1 single step).

Hello babylon,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Please find the answers to your inquiries below:

Hm, which version of EasySocial are you currently on? The latest version actually includes a registration link in the login module.

If you set it as default, this will be used when the user signs in with Facebook

Is your Registered Users profile enabled?

Hello Mark,

Under index.php?option=com_easysocial&view=profiles

I have ...................

Registered Users
JomSocial default profile

Both are active, but jomsocial is the default..

And thats funny...althought the jomsocial is default, if i disable the joomla registered i get this upon registration..

Select profile type
Select the profile type that suits you best. Different profiles have access to different functionalities

Sorry, but there are no profiles created on the site yet.

Hello babylon,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hello babylon,

Ah, found the issue! I have forgotten that we added this feature You can actually disable a profile from being selected during registration, and it was actually disabled for the LIDOSocial option, http://screencast.com/t/g4tndCwE

After enabling this, it works fine now

Well it does get confusing cause the custom shows not on first step.
And on the first page button says -> Submit

Why not -> Continue ?

And is there a reason why all is in steps?
